This course is designed to develop studentsā listening and speaking skills as well as equip them with strategies for effective communication in various situations applicable to their chosen fields. It involves understanding the nature and functions of communication and acquiring communicative competence in different speech situations related to their field using different types of communicative strategies. This course also involves equipping students with the necessary knowledge and skills on preparing and delivering different types of speeches under various situations they may encounter in the field.

This course provides the students the knowledge on the use of Internet services, basic Internet terminology, HTML concepts and fundamentals of Web Applications Development. This includes HTML basic coding like adding and formatting text, inserting images and sound, hyperlinks to external and internal media, displaying text and other screen objects thru list, tables, framesets and forms. The course also includes basic of Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). The course later expands static web development with dynamic web development.

This course allows the student to learn and apply the basic language syntax and principles of object-oriented programming to solve computational problems adhering to the standards and guidelines of documentation. It provides the students a thorough knowledge on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Language Technique using Microsoft C#.

The course introduces students to the suite of animation, graphics and rich media authoring applications. It shows how to use the suite to create appealing and cutting-edge digital communications. This course is a media application based which students learn how to use the tools in Adobe Flash while building understanding of the over-all design and development process that is required for producing graphic, animation, and rich media communication. The over-all process can be described as five stages: Define, Structure, Design, Build and Test and Launch.

This course deals with the concepts and applications of statistics including exploratory data analysis, probability distributions, sampling distributions, estimation and hypothesis testing. The students will enable them to compare means or proportions of two groups, as needed. The course concludes with one-way analysis of variance. Flipped classroom activities will be implemented in developing basic statistics competencies.
